A Personal Approach To Care

A message from Arjun Mehra — Osteopath & Physiotherapist

Osteopath and physiotherapist providing hands-on treatment to a woman's shoulder in Hayes, West London

“Over more than a decade in clinical practice, I’ve learned that pain and injury rarely exist in isolation. How your body moves, how you train, work, rest, and manage stress can all influence how symptoms develop and how they recover.

Rather than focusing on one area alone, I look at how different parts of the body interact alongside lifestyle and movement factors that may be contributing to symptoms. This allows treatment and rehabilitation to feel more tailored, relevant, and sustainable.

My approach has been shaped through experience across private practice, NHS settings, specialist clinics, and community work - where listening properly often matters just as much as hands-on treatment.

Every session is tailored to the individual. The goal isn’t simply to reduce pain, but to help you better understand your body, rebuild confidence in movement, and feel supported throughout recovery.

If I feel another clinician, specialist, or service would be better placed to support your needs, I’ll always be honest about that and help guide you in the right direction. Good care isn’t about keeping people coming back unnecessarily, it’s about helping people access the support that’s most appropriate for them.

This is a safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental space. Everyone arrives at a different point in their journey, and my role is to meet you where you are - with care, respect, and compassion.”

Who I Work With

I work with adults and teenagers of all backgrounds and activity levels from people managing pain, stiffness, injury, or long-standing symptoms, to those looking to move better, return to exercise, improve physical confidence, or stay active long-term.

A large part of my work involves supporting active individuals, gym-goers, runners, and people balancing training, work, and everyday life particularly where pain, overload, movement restrictions, or recurring injuries begin affecting performance, recovery, or quality of life.

You do not need to be sporty, and you do not need to be in severe pain to seek support. Whether symptoms are new, recurring, or difficult to fully understand, you are welcome here.

Clinical Experience & Background

I graduated from the British school of Osteopathy in 2013 and went on to complete my Masters in Physiotherapy at Brighton University. My clinical experience spans private practice, NHS outpatient settings, multidisciplinary teams, specialist clinics, and community healthcare environments.

Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of presentations including:

  • Neck, back, joint and muscle pain

  • Sports injuries

  • Gym-related problems

  • Persistent musculoskeletal conditions

  • Post-surgical rehabilitation

  • Pregnancy-related pain

  • More complex cases requiring longer-term rehabilitation support.

My background in both osteopathy and physiotherapy allows me to combine hands-on treatment with rehabilitation, movement analysis, exercise prescription depending on the individual and their presentation.

Alongside rehabilitation and treatment planning, I place strong importance on a thorough assessment, collaborative care, and helping patients feel informed, supported, and involved throughout their recovery.

Community & Voluntary Healthcare Work

Alongside clinical practice in the UK, I’ve also been involved in community and voluntary healthcare projects both locally and internationally.

This has included working with vulnerable populations, children, and individuals with neurological or developmental conditions, as well as volunteering abroad in settings where access to healthcare and rehabilitation services can be limited.

These experiences continue to shape how I practise and have reinforced my belief that healthcare should always be delivered with compassion, respect, dignity, and genuine human understanding.

Working in different healthcare environments and cultures has strengthened my appreciation for communication, adaptability, and treating every individual as a person not simply a diagnosis or scan result.
