How We Work
Personalised care combining hands-on treatment, rehabilitation, and movement-focused recovery - tailored to the individual.
An Integrated Approach To Care
No two people move, train, work, recover, or experience pain in exactly the same way.
Rather than following a rigid treatment model, care is tailored to the individual and built around understanding the root cause behind symptoms.
Treatment can involve a combination of osteopathy, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, hands-on treatment and lifestyle guidance depending on your goals.
The focus is not simply on short-term symptom relief, but on helping improve movement, build confidence, support recovery, and create more sustainable long-term outcomes.
The Treatment Process
Assessment & Movement Analysis
Understanding symptoms, movement patterns, training history, lifestyle factors, and contributing mechanical or functional issues.
Hands-On Treatment
Treatment may include osteopathic techniques, physiotherapy approaches soft tissue work, mobility treatment, movement-based care and where appropriate adjunctive therapies .
Rehabilitation & Exercise Therapy
Rehabilitation plans are tailored to the individual and may involve mobility work, strength progression, exercise therapy, and return-to-activity guidance.
Adjunctive Therapies
Where clinically appropriate, treatment may also incorporate techniques such as dry needling, shockwave therapy, cupping, instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy.
Assessment → Treatment → Recovery
Understand The Problem
Assessment focuses on understanding symptoms, movement, lifestyle factors, training demands, and the wider picture influencing recovery.
Build A Tailored Plan
Treatment and rehabilitation are adapted to the individual and may combine hands-on therapy, movement work, education, and exercise-based recovery.
Support Long Recovery
The aim is not simply short-term relief, but helping improve confidence, movement capacity, resilience, and long-term physical wellbeing.
Collaborative & Ethical Care
There are times when additional investigation, imaging, medical input, or onward referral may be appropriate.
Where appropriate, I work closely with NHS and Private GPs, consultants, imaging providers, and other healthcare professionals to help ensure care is safe, coordinated, and appropriate for the individual.
Good care also means recognising when another clinician or specialist may be better placed to support a particular issue.
Care Built Around The Individual
Every person arrives with different experiences, goals, movement patterns, and challenges. Treatment is always tailored to the individual - with the aim of helping you feel informed, supported, and more confident in your recovery.
A Personal Approach To Care
A message from Arjun Mehra - Osteopath & Physiotherapist
“Over more than a decade in clinical practice, I’ve learned that pain and injury rarely exist in isolation. How your body moves, how you train, work, rest, and manage stress can all influence how symptoms develop and how they recover.
Rather than focusing on one area alone, I look at how different parts of the body interact alongside lifestyle and movement factors that may be contributing to symptoms. This allows treatment and rehabilitation to feel more tailored, relevant, and sustainable.
My approach has been shaped through experience across private practice, NHS settings, specialist clinics, and community work - where listening properly often matters just as much as hands-on treatment.
Every session is tailored to the individual. The goal isn’t simply to reduce pain, but to help you better understand your body, rebuild confidence in movement, and feel supported throughout recovery.
If I feel another clinician, specialist, or service would be better placed to support your needs, I’ll always be honest about that and help guide you in the right direction. Good care isn’t about keeping people coming back unnecessarily, it’s about helping people access the support that’s most appropriate for them.
This is a safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental space. Everyone arrives at a different point in their journey, and my role is to meet you where you are - with care, respect, and compassion.”
